Minor Scales
Minor
scales can be described Aeolian mode of
the major scales. There are three kinds of minor scales which are Natural,
Harmonic and Melodic minor scales.
Natural scales are diatonic scales but Harmonic and Melodic scales are
nondiatonic scales. Natural minors are consist of whole and half steps. The
pattern of minor scales is WHWWHWW.

Harmonic
minors difference from natural minors is requirement of the tension between
leading tone and tonic. Thus leading tone has a half step above uppered.

Melodic
minors differences from natural minors are sixth and seventh degrees are rised
a half step when going upwards. All the degrees are same with natural minor
scales when they are going to backwards.

Relative Minors
The
minor scales are in a relative with major scales. Major scales key
signatures are same with relevant minors key signatures. Relative major is a minor
third below the tonic of the minor. For example C majors relevant minor as A minor.
